Conservatory Décor Ideas for Modern and Classic Homes

A conservatory makes a fantastic addition to any property, whether traditional or contemporary. If yours is starting to look tired, the right décor can bring it back to life. Here's some inspiration.

Start with lighting. It's one of the most important elements in any room, and a conservatory is no exception. Layer it: soft lamps for evenings, spotlights or pendants for task light, and candles or string lights for atmosphere. Good lighting extends your conservatory's day well past sunset.

Choose furniture that suits glazed rooms, natural materials like rattan and wicker handle sunlight well, while washable covers make family life easier. For flooring, tiles or quality vinyl cope with garden traffic; add rugs for warmth underfoot.

On colour, take your cue from the house. Classic homes suit soft heritage tones and botanical patterns; modern homes can go bolder with monochrome schemes and statement plants. Either way, plants belong in a conservatory. It's the one room where you can't overdo them.

One honest note: if your conservatory is too hot in summer or too cold in winter, no amount of décor will fix it. That's a roof problem, and we can help with that too. Get in touch for advice.
