A bifold door makes the perfect addition to almost any property, but before you order a set, you'll probably have questions. Here are the ones we're asked most, answered honestly.
How secure are bifold doors? Very. Ours combine an 8-point locking system with the inherent strength of aluminium, offering serious protection against intruders. Finger-safe gaskets also prevent trapped fingers when the doors are in motion, worth knowing with children about.
Are they energy efficient? Yes, thermally broken aluminium frames and double glazing as standard keep the warmth in, even across a wall of glass.
How many panels do I need? It depends on your opening: configurations run from two panels to seven. Wider openings suit more panels; smaller ones work beautifully with three.
Which way should they open? In or out, left or right, split or single stack, we'll configure them around how you use the room.
What about thresholds? Low-threshold options create a near-seamless step between inside and out.
What colours are available? A huge range, including dual-colour options, one finish outside, another in.
Do they need much maintenance? Barely: aluminium doesn't rot, warp or need repainting.
