Guardian Warm Roof & Origin Bifold Doors in Witham, Essex

A couple in Witham had an extension that only worked for half the year: too hot in summer, too cold in winter, and looking tired with it.

We replaced their old polycarbonate roof with a slate-tile Guardian warm roof. Precision-engineered with multiple layers of insulation, it holds a comfortable temperature all year round and gives the extension the solid, permanent feel of a proper room. To keep the space bright, we fitted two Solstice panels that let sunlight pour in, so the room still feels connected to the garden.

Two sets of white Origin aluminium bifold doors completed the transformation. On warm days the doors fold back to open the whole room to the garden; through autumn and winter, the insulated roof keeps everything comfortable inside.
